Stellantis Appoints New CEO for Ram and Jeep Brands

On July 20, 2025, Stellantis announced two leadership changes within its brand management team. Effective immediately, Matt VanDyke has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ram brand, succeeding Tim Kuniskis, who had been serving in the role on an interim basis. Branden Coté will officially assume the role of CEO of the Jeep brand on August 3, replacing Bob Broderdorf, who is stepping down temporarily for personal medical reasons. Since July 2025, Tim Kuniskis has served as Head of North American Marketing and Retail Strategy and U.S. Brands at Stellantis. He continued to oversee the Ram brand until VanDyke’s appointment. Following these changes, both Ram and Jeep will now be directly led by VanDyke and Coté, respectively, with both executives reporting to Kuniskis. Bob Broderdorf assumed leadership of the Jeep brand in February 2025 and is now taking a temporary leave of absence to focus on his treatment. Stellantis stated that he will return to the company upon recovery and transition into another senior leadership role. Matt VanDyke brings extensive experience in the automotive industry. He previously served as President of digital marketing firm Shift Digital and as CEO of Ford Direct. Earlier in his career, he held several key positions at Ford Motor Company, including U.S. Marketing Director, Vice President of Marketing for Ford Europe, and Head of Marketing, Sales, and Service for the Lincoln brand. Branden Coté has over two decades of experience managing OEM and dealer retail operations. He previously served as President of multiple premium brands under AutoNation, one of the largest U.S. automotive retail groups. He has also held key leadership roles at Aston Martin Lagonda, electric vehicle startup Canoo, and Mercedes-AMG/Mercedes-Benz USA. These leadership appointments have already begun taking effect, and the corresponding organizational adjustments are underway within the company.
