Since its founding in 2017, IndiChip Microelectronics has focused exclusively on the development of automotive-grade mixed-signal chips, pursuing a vertically specialized “boutique” strategy rather than a broad “supermarket” approach. The company has built its product portfolio around four core applications: automotive lighting, micro motor drivers, touch sensing, and ultrasonic radar. All four new product lines have each generated over RMB 100 million in revenue and have entered mass production. In the first half of 2025, despite a roughly 20% year-over-year decline in China’s passenger vehicle retail sales, IndiChip Microelectronics still achieved significant revenue growth. Its products are now used in hundreds of vehicle models, with cumulative shipments exceeding 500 million units. The company serves major domestic joint ventures and Chinese自主品牌 automakers and has entered the supply chains of international OEMs including Volkswagen Group (Germany), Hyundai-Kia (South Korea), Ford, and General Motors. In recent years, the company has maintained high-intensity R&D investment, spending over RMB 1 billion on R&D in 2025 alone, primarily targeting exterior lighting control, micro motor drivers, touch sensing, and ultrasonic radar chips. In automotive lighting, IndiChip now offers China’s most comprehensive domestic chip solution covering headlights, taillights, grille lights, and other full-scenario applications. Its micro motor driver products are widely used in valve control, air vent adjustment, and pump applications. Touch sensing chips have been deployed at scale by leading Chinese NEV makers in reading lights, door handles, and hands-off-wheel detection systems on steering wheels. The first-generation ultrasonic radar chip is already in mass production, with the second generation scheduled for large-scale production in the second half of 2025. IndiChip Microelectronics is simultaneously advancing its global strategy, establishing sales channels in Europe, Detroit (USA), South Korea, Japan, and India. Overseas revenue now accounts for 20% to 25% of total income. Its chips have been adopted by a Japanese Tier 1 supplier for taillight projects on premium European brand vehicles, and the company has forged partnerships with Japan’s “Big Three” automakers as well as European luxury brands like BMW and Mercedes-Benz. Additionally, it is leveraging the overseas expansion of Chinese automakers to further penetrate international markets. In 2026, Xinbang Intelligent (a listed company) is advancing a major asset restructuring involving IndiChip Microelectronics. Upon completion, IndiChip will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Xinbang Intelligent. Backed by this capital platform, the company plans to implement a dual-pronged “organic growth + external expansion” strategy, with a strategic focus on “embedded physical AI.” It intends to invest in or acquire edge computing chip companies and AI algorithm teams, using sensors and actuators as hardware foundations to build a physical AI ecosystem.
