The SAIC Audi AUDI E7X launched on May 29, offering five trim levels with prices ranging from RMB 269,800 to RMB 359,800. The vehicle measures 5,049 mm in length, 1,997 mm in width, and 1,710 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,060 mm. Fu Qiang, Executive Deputy General Manager of Sales and Marketing at SAIC Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd., stated that the E7X’s pricing was determined based on two key considerations: first, it took into account the market performance of the previous E5 model, aiming to offer a genuinely competitive price; second, as a latecomer in the new energy vehicle (NEV) segment, SAIC Audi deliberately excluded any brand premium from its pricing strategy, seeking instead to rapidly establish its NEV brand image. Fu emphasized that SAIC Audi positions itself as a challenger in the NEV space, explicitly viewing emerging EV brands as direct competitors and not shying away from comparisons with brands like Xiaomi within the same price range. He encouraged consumers to test-drive the vehicle, expressing confidence that users would make informed choices after experiencing the product firsthand. SAIC Audi aims to rank among the top five—and ultimately break into the top three—in the large five-seat SUV segment. Despite intense competition in this segment, the brand highlights its unique positioning of “harmonious yet distinct” and hopes its current pricing strategy will foster closer connections with customers.
