Nissan Launches High-Performance Leaf NISMO Starting at ¥274,000 with Up to 560 km Range

Nissan has recently released official images of the new LEAF NISMO, a high-performance variant of its all-electric passenger car, with a starting price of ¥6,601,100 (approximately RMB 274,000). The vehicle features exclusive exterior styling elements, including front bumper air deflectors, side sill garnishes, a boat-shaped rear underbody diffuser, and an extended ducktail spoiler, all designed to increase downforce and enhance aerodynamic efficiency. Inside, the cabin adopts a black-and-red sporty color scheme, highlighted by NISMO-specific badging, a TailorFit synthetic leather-wrapped sport steering wheel, red orientation markers, and red contrast stitching. In terms of performance, the LEAF NISMO is equipped with a NISMO-tuned suspension system featuring custom springs, stabilizer bars, and specialized bushings to improve body rigidity and steering precision. Two powertrain configurations are available: the base model comes with a front-mounted single motor (130 kW / 345 N·m) paired with a 53 kWh battery, offering an estimated range of approximately 420 km; the top-tier long-range variant also uses a front-mounted single motor but boosts output to 160 kW / 355 N·m and increases battery capacity to 75 kWh, delivering a range of up to 560 km. Additionally, the new LEAF NISMO introduces a dedicated NISMO Sport driving mode that provides sharper throttle response and enhanced power delivery. For the first time on a NISMO electric vehicle, it also features adjustable regenerative braking paddles, allowing drivers to manually switch between four levels of regen intensity—offering greater control and driving flexibility on twisty roads and mountain passes.
