Deepal S05 Official Images Released: Adds LiDAR, Offers BEV and EREV Options

Deepal Auto recently released official teaser images of its all-new Deepal S05. Positioned as a "globally stylish laser-intelligent SUV," the vehicle will make its official debut soon. Exterior-wise, the new model carries forward the design language of its predecessor, featuring a closed-off front grille and the signature petal-shaped "Deepal Eye" headlights. It also adds a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor and a small blue indicator light for intelligent driving functions, enhancing its advanced driver-assistance hardware suite. The side profile showcases semi-recessed door handles, frameless doors, and 18-inch Star Swirl sport wheels. At the rear, a full-width LED light bar runs across the tailgate, while the roof-mounted spoiler integrates a high-mounted brake light, ensuring strong visual identity overall. Under the hood, the S05 will be offered in both all-electric and range-extended variants. The BEV version features an electric motor delivering a maximum output of 200 kW, with CLTC-rated ranges of 520 km and 620 km respectively. The range-extended variant pairs a 72 kW 1.5L engine with a 175 kW electric motor, offering a CLTC pure-electric range of 215 km and a combined range of up to 1,310 km.
