LeDao Auto Rolls Out Coconut/Coconut+ v3.1.0: Enhanced Human-Machine Co-Driving, Traffic Light Display, and Smart Features

On July 23, Leapmotor rolled out the Coconut 3.1.0 and Coconut+ 3.1.0 updates to over 170,000 users, comprehensively enhancing features across intelligent driving assistance, smart cockpit, and intelligent chassis domains. Following the end-to-end model upgrade of the Onboard Self-Driving (OSD) system, lane changes have become more proactive and smoother, steering feels silkier, and acceleration/deceleration is more gradual. The full-scenario navigation-assisted driving capability has been significantly improved: the system can now directly control the steering wheel and accelerator/brake pedals, actively executing strategic lane changes—such as博弈变道 (game-theory-based lane changes) and gap-seeking maneuvers—based on real-time traffic flow. At intersections, the system optimizes traffic yield logic and dynamic lane selection, substantially increasing successful passage rates. A new human-machine co-driving mode has been introduced. When using Intelligent Lane Cruise or Full-Scenario Navigation Assist, drivers can enter a co-driving state by taking control of the steering wheel; upon releasing it, the system seamlessly resumes full vehicle control. The Smart Parking Assist now supports three parking preferences—left-aligned, centered, and right-aligned—to better match real-world parking habits, facilitating easier entry/exit and reducing the risk of "door strikes." The OSD Trip Summary feature, accessible via the Leapmotor App (version 2.5.0 or higher), displays statistics such as the number of “zero hard-braking” trips, “zero driver interventions,” and smart parking usages, with one-tap sharing support. In the smart cockpit, a dedicated audio community—NIO Radio—has been added, offering content spanning news, music, entertainment, and local lifestyle services. Customizable lock/unlock chimes are now supported: users can create a folder named “Lock” in the root directory of a USB drive and place up to 30 .WAV audio files (each under 10MB); the system will play the first 5 seconds of a randomly selected file. AutoNavi (Gaode Map) now features a cruising traffic light display. Even without active navigation, the central display shows real-time traffic light status and countdowns for the current and adjacent intersections, covering directions including U-turns, left turns, and straight-ahead movements. The windshield wipers now include a “Power Clean” mode: pressing and holding the washer button for 5 seconds triggers a high-pressure spray to remove stubborn grime from the windshield. A new “Cabin Reset” seat mode allows one-touch resetting of all seats to their default tidy positions, simplifying cargo loading or cabin reconfiguration. For the Leapmotor L60, the aftermarket large refrigerator no longer has a 24-hour power limit, enabling continuous refrigeration. Media and entertainment features have been upgraded: Media Center, NetEase Cloud Music, and Quanmin K Ge (Everyone Sing) now support full-screen mode with seamless toggling between full and half-screen layouts. Quanmin K Ge adds single-line scoring, five-dimensional evaluation, and skip-intro functionality. QQ Music, NetEase Cloud Music, Quanmin K Ge, and NIO Immersive Audio now support word-by-word lyrics and media card lyric displays. KuGou Music’s interface has been optimized for better in-car compatibility and playback stability. Voice interaction has also seen improvements: the custom wake-word recognition strategy has been refined to enhance custom keyword performance while maintaining standard wake accuracy. Leveraging a large ASR model with tens of billions of parameters, voice recognition accuracy has increased by 7%, covering high-frequency scenarios like vehicle control, navigation, media, and general knowledge queries. Over 70 new atomic vehicle control capabilities have been added, expanding the range of voice-operable functions. A dynamic zone-aware wake strategy can now accurately identify user positions even when seated at extreme recline angles, preventing unintended activations. On the safety front, the system reduces the likelihood of skidding on slippery surfaces such as wet roads, epoxy-coated floors, and pavement joints, minimizing sensations of speed loss and jerkiness, thereby enhancing driving stability and safety.
