STMicroelectronics reported second-quarter 2026 net revenue of $3.49 billion, exceeding market expectations of $3.46 billion and representing a year-over-year increase of over 20%. Net profit stood at $222 million, gross profit reached $1.22 billion, and the gross margin was 34.8%. The company forecasts third-quarter net revenue of $3.7 billion, up 6.2% sequentially and 16.2% year-over-year, with fourth-quarter revenue expected to surpass $4 billion, driven primarily by collaborative projects with customers in AI data centers and low-Earth-orbit satellite communications. STMicroelectronics stated that its data center business revenue is projected to exceed $1 billion in 2026 and significantly surpass $2 billion in 2027. In the same period, Texas Instruments reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of $5.463 billion, an increase of 23% year-over-year and 13% quarter-over-quarter. Net income rose 53% year-over-year to $1.98 billion. The company expects third-quarter revenue to range between $5.65 billion and $6.15 billion, above prior guidance.
