Great Wall BMW Automotive Co., Ltd. has filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation of China, announcing a voluntary recall effective September 1, 2026, of certain domestically produced MINI COOPER all-electric vehicles (276 units) and MINI ACEMAN all-electric vehicles (39 units), totaling 315 vehicles, manufactured between April 7 and April 23, 2026. The affected vehicles may have a manufacturing defect that could result in inadequate adhesion between the interior rearview mirror mounting bracket and the windshield, potentially causing the mirror to become loose and obstruct the driver’s view. In extreme cases, the interior rearview mirror could detach, posing a safety risk that increases the likelihood of injury to vehicle occupants. Great Wall BMW Automotive Co., Ltd. will authorize BMW (China) Automotive Trading Co., Ltd. to inspect the interior rearview mirror mounting brackets on the recalled vehicles. If any looseness is detected, the windshield assembly will be replaced to eliminate the safety hazard.
