On July 24, XPeng announced that its flagship SUV model, the GX, will enter the Australian market with an expected price exceeding AUD 100,000 (approximately RMB 473,000). The GX is currently XPeng’s largest SUV, offered in China with a six-seat configuration and available in both all-electric and range-extended variants. However, as Lexus has already registered the "GX" trademark in Australia, the vehicle may require a name change for its local launch. Alex Tang, Head of XPeng’s International Business, stated that the GX has received strong market feedback and delivered outstanding sales performance since its launch in China, prompting the company to ramp up production capacity to meet demand. Additionally, XPeng plans to introduce another large SUV, the G9L, in Australia, with deliveries expected to begin next year in a seven-seat configuration. Meanwhile, XPeng’s first flying car is on track for mass production this year, having already secured over 7,000 pre-orders. The company has also completed construction of the world’s first dedicated flying car factory, featuring an annual production capacity of 10,000 units and a floor area of 120,000 square meters.
