Leapmotor D19 began rolling out its first OTA update starting July 24, with a primary focus on enhancing the City Navigation Assist (VLA) feature. Key improvements include: - Proactively executing defensive deceleration to enhance safety; - Supporting entry into straight-ahead waiting zones at large intersections to improve traffic efficiency; - Optimizing speed control for smoother acceleration and deceleration; - Displaying the status of directional arrow traffic lights corresponding to the vehicle’s travel direction, accurately aligning with lane-specific signals; - Introducing a customizable driver-assistance alert mode with “Detailed” and “Simple” options. In terms of voice control, the update delivers more accurate recognition and faster response times, significantly reducing false wake-ups and unintended activations. It also strengthens multi-command coordination and accurately recognizes in-car functions and hardware names. The chassis control system now incorporates a new AI algorithm to improve tire grip and shorten braking distances: dry-condition 100–0 km/h braking distance is reduced by approximately 1 meter, and by about 5 meters in wet conditions. For the memory parking feature, users can now customize parking speeds on internal roads within residential complexes and enclosed parking lots. When folding the side mirrors during tight-space parking, the system automatically switches to dedicated side-rear camera views, focusing on blind spots. Additionally, the 360-degree panoramic view interface now includes rearview mirror adjustment buttons, allowing direct control of left and right mirrors without exiting the panoramic view screen. Rear-seat control screen updates include optimized seat mode settings and easier access to front-passenger seat controls, along with an improved seat adjustment process that reduces movement steps and duration.
