The Beijing Hyundai IONIQ V is scheduled to officially launch in September. Built on Hyundai’s dedicated E-GMP electric vehicle platform, the IONIQ V offers both all-electric and range-extended powertrain options. All variants feature a single-motor rear-wheel-drive layout, with motor outputs of 140 kW and 168 kW respectively, paired with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs of 53.5 kWh and 66.8 kWh. Under CLTC driving conditions, the vehicle achieves a maximum pure-electric range of up to 650 km. Designed under the leadership of Hyundai China’s Design Center, the IONIQ V sports a low-slung wedge-shaped body with a fastback coupe silhouette. Exterior highlights include a closed-off front fascia, slim LED light strips, frameless doors, semi-flush door handles, and V-shaped aerodynamic alloy wheels. The rear features “Dimensional Light Blade” taillights and a star-track-inspired full-width light bar. The vehicle measures 4,900 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,470 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. Inside, the IONIQ V is equipped with a unified 27-inch 4K dual-screen display that supports zoned interaction between driver and front passenger, allowing the front passenger to independently watch videos or play games. The infotainment system is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip and integrates dual large AI models, enabling independent four-zone voice control. For driver assistance, the vehicle adopts Momenta’s solution, offering L2+ level advanced driver-assistance capabilities.
