The design details of the Leapmotor A05, a compact all-electric vehicle, have been officially revealed, with display units progressively arriving at dealerships and an imminent market launch expected. The interior features 2.6 square meters of soft-touch materials covering areas including door armrests and upper panels. It is equipped with "Cloud Comfort" seats featuring a seven-layer optimized structure and a 256-color ambient lighting system that supports multiple lighting effects and intelligent synchronization. The center console includes a floating IP BAR, allowing installation of official DIY accessories such as fragrance diffusers, emergency safety hammers, and plush toy mounts. The vehicle offers multiple seating configurations, including Surfboard Mode, Nap Recline Mode, Double Bed Mode, Pet/Moving Mode, and Privacy Storage Mode. It provides 33 storage compartments throughout the cabin, along with a fold-out tray table on the back of the driver’s seat—ideal for working, dining, or leisure. The trunk offers a base capacity of 474 liters, expandable to 1,308 liters when the rear seats are folded down, plus an additional 91-liter underfloor storage compartment. In terms of smart cockpit features, the A05 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip and comes with an 8.88-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.6-inch central touchscreen, and a 12-speaker audio system supporting microphone-free karaoke functionality. For powertrain options, the A05 is available with either a 39.8 kWh or 53 kWh battery pack, delivering CLTC-rated ranges of 405 km and 510 km, respectively. Motor outputs are offered in 70 kW and 90 kW variants. Measuring 4,200 mm long, 1,800 mm wide, and 1,560 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,605 mm, the A05 features a rounded silhouette, a floating roof design, and semi-recessed door handles. A LiDAR sensor is available as an optional upgrade. The taillights incorporate a distinctive “smiley face” graphic, offering high visual recognition when illuminated.
