The terminal price of the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque L has recently plummeted, with dealerships in Hangzhou quoting clearance prices as low as RMB 169,800. Similar deals at RMB 179,800 have emerged across multiple regions nationwide—marking a drop of over 60% from its peak all-in price of nearly RMB 900,000 several years ago. Production of the gasoline-powered Evoque L has now been fully discontinued. Facing mounting inventory, storage costs, and financial pressures, dealers are resorting to deep discounts to recover cash quickly. Meanwhile, new energy vehicles (NEVs) continue expanding their presence in the premium SUV segment. Domestic NEVs priced between RMB 200,000 and RMB 300,000—offering smart cockpits, superior interior space, and lower operating costs—are drawing away a significant number of buyers who originally intended to purchase gasoline-powered models, further intensifying market pressure on traditional fuel vehicles like the Evoque L.
