Kia has announced that the all-new Seltos will open for pre-orders in the domestic market on August 13. The model made its global debut in December 2023, featuring a fresh design language that aligns closely with Kia’s all-electric SUV, the EV5. The front fascia sports vertically oriented split headlights, with the main lamps integrated into a wide grille and complemented by a matte silver skid plate. The side profile features flush door handles, rugged black plastic cladding, an upward-sweeping character line, a floating roof design, and a distinctive diagonal crease added to the rear doors. At the rear, it showcases a full-width LED light bar and an extended rear spoiler. The vehicle measures 4,430 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width, and 1,600 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,690 mm. It offers a generous trunk capacity of 536 liters, equipped with a foldable dual-level cargo floor. Inside, the cabin features twin 12.3-inch displays and a dedicated climate control panel, supporting OTA updates and AI-powered voice assistant functionality. Optional features include a panoramic sunroof, head-up display, Harman Kardon or Bose premium audio systems, and 64-color ambient lighting. Built on an upgraded K3 platform, the new Seltos delivers enhanced body rigidity and improved driving dynamics, along with an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS), refined NVH performance, and optimized chassis tuning. Powertrain options include a 2.0L naturally aspirated engine producing 147 hp and a 1.6L turbocharged engine available in either 178 hp or 190 hp variants depending on the market. Transmission choices comprise a 6-speed manual, a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, or an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Select models also offer all-wheel drive and multiple terrain-driving modes, including Snow, Mud, and Sand settings.
