Mercedes-Benz Group reported revenue of €32.1 billion in the second quarter of 2025, down 3.31% year-over-year, while earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) rose 15.38% to €1.5 billion. For the Mercedes-Benz Cars division, adjusted EBIT amounted to €909 million, a 25.98% decline compared to the same period last year, with a return on sales of 4.0%, within the company’s full-year target range of 3% to 5%. Sales of all-electric vehicles surged by 51% year-over-year, with order volumes in Europe doubling. The group stated that despite a challenging market environment, its new products have received positive customer feedback, and it plans to launch additional models in the second half of the year while further optimizing cost structures and production efficiency. In China, deliveries declined by 30% year-over-year to 98,600 units, primarily due to intensified market competition and new models still ramping up production capacity. The company emphasized that China remains highly strategically important and acknowledged that its performance was impacted by pressures in the Chinese market, though gains in operational efficiency partially offset these headwinds.
