On July 28, Harmony Intelligent Mobility launched its summer OTA update, introducing 34 new features and optimizing 23 user experiences. This update officially debuts Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 5, built on the WEWA 2.0 architecture, which enhances traffic efficiency and decision-making capabilities, enabling more precise lane changes and overtaking maneuvers. In terms of ride comfort, vehicle start-stop and acceleration/deceleration have become smoother, and obstacle-avoidance lane changes now demonstrate greater foresight. Safety capabilities have also been strengthened: the system can proactively detect rear-end collision risks from following vehicles and, when sufficient space is available, preemptively accelerate to create distance, thereby reducing sudden hazards. The NCA (Navigation Guided Cruise Assist) “destination-free roaming” feature has been expanded to urban campus scenarios, now supporting traffic light recognition and autonomous lane changes for smooth passage. The “Parking Spot-to-Parking Spot” navigation allows users to select waypoints or charging stations en route and enables one-tap automated parking, with quick filtering of charging stations and precise parking spot alignment. The cabin system has also been updated: the Qishe Music app is now available, and in-cabin audio can be instantly played externally, offering either external-only playback or simultaneous internal-and-external modes, with independently adjustable external volume. The ADS Pro Enhanced Edition (featuring an in-cabin LiDAR-vision fusion solution) has received a concurrent upgrade: Campus NCA now supports pre-selecting parking spots in more parking lots for free parking; the maximum trace-reverse reversing distance has been extended to 120 meters; and new functions such as three-point turn, Emergency Steering Assist (ESA), and Forward Irregular Obstacle Automatic Emergency Braking (GAEB) have been added.
