Xiaomi N90 Max Reveals Safety Features and Powertrain Warranty Details

On July 28, Xiaomi released details about the safety and powertrain systems of its N90 Max model. The vehicle features an armored cage-type body structure, with 16 critical areas throughout the car utilizing ultra-high-strength steel rated at 2,200 MPa. The roof can withstand a maximum load of nearly 14 metric tons. It is equipped with an integrated hot-formed door ring that spans from the first to the third row and runs continuously through the A, B, C, and D pillars, improving the body’s load-bearing capacity by 19% compared to conventional welded side pillars. The N90 Max is powered by Xiaomi’s “Kunlun Range Extender,” compatible with 92-octane, 95-octane, and 98-octane gasoline. Both the range extender and the triple-electric system (battery, motor, and electronic control) come with an 8-year or 160,000-kilometer warranty. Under WLTC driving conditions, its minimum fuel consumption in low-battery mode is 5.7 L/100 km. After the initial service, maintenance is required every three years or after the range extender has operated for 30,000 kilometers. Xiaomi will hold a technology launch event on July 30 at 7:00 p.m., officially unveiling the “Xiaomi Kunlun Technology Architecture,” which encompasses the Kunlun platform, the Super Range Extender System, and comprehensive safety technologies.
