On July 28, Xiaomi released teaser information for its new Pengcheng series of vehicles, revealing that they will be equipped with the "Xiaomi Kunlun Range Extender." This range extender is compatible with 92-octane, 95-octane, and 98-octane gasoline, and both the range extender and the vehicle’s triple-electric system (battery, motor, and electronic control) come with an 8-year or 160,000-kilometer warranty. Under WLTC driving conditions, the entire lineup achieves a minimum fuel consumption of 5.7 L/100 km in low-battery mode. After the initial service, maintenance is required every three years or after the range extender has operated for 30,000 kilometers. In response to external skepticism, Xu Jieyun, Special Assistant to the Chairman of Xiaomi Group and Deputy General Manager of the Strategic Marketing Department, issued a statement. On July 30, Xiaomi will hold a technology launch event to officially unveil the "Xiaomi Kunlun Technology Architecture," which encompasses the Xiaomi Kunlun Platform, Xiaomi Kunlun Super Range Extender, and Xiaomi Kunlun All-Domain Safety technologies. The event will also debut two new models: the large seven-seater flagship extended-range SUV, Xiaomi Pengcheng N90 Max, and the large five-seater all-wheel-drive extended-range SUV, Xiaomi Pengcheng N70 Max.
