The HR1, the first mass-produced autonomous vehicle co-developed by Dongfeng Nissan Venucia and Hello Inc., was recently delivered at the Huadu plant in Guangzhou. Based on the Dongfeng Nissan Venucia VX6 all-electric SUV, the HR1 underwent vehicle-grade, ground-up development, with deep integration of autonomous driving hardware and software from the initial vehicle architecture design phase, and is tailored to meet commercial operation standards. From project signing to the rollout of the first vehicle, the process took less than one year. Designed for high-intensity shared mobility scenarios, the HR1 leveraged real-world traffic data collected across multiple Chinese cities to replicate diverse road conditions and completed hundreds of thousands of kilometers of chassis durability testing. The passenger cabin offers a volume of 3.64 cubic meters, achieving a space utilization rate of 90%. Its battery has passed 146 tests and complies with China’s new national battery standards set to take effect in 2026. The body features a cage-like structure constructed with ultra-high-strength steel. With a CLTC-rated range of 510 kilometers, the HR1 supports 3C ultra-fast charging—recharging from 30% to 80% in just 14 minutes—and is compatible with most public charging stations. The first batch of HR1 vehicles will commence regular operations in Guangzhou and Shenzhen, with plans to expand to at least 10 cities within one year.
