SAIC Motor Corporation has recently continued its management reshuffle. Tao Hailong, former General Manager of SAIC Volkswagen, has been appointed as General Manager of Huayu Automotive Systems Co., Ltd., while Wu Yun, previously Executive Deputy General Manager of Human Resources and Organization at SAIC Volkswagen, succeeds him as General Manager of SAIC Volkswagen. Meanwhile, Zhang Quan, current head of the Procurement Department at SAIC Volkswagen, is slated to assume an executive deputy role at a SAIC Motor subsidiary. Wu Yun, born in September 1979 in Shengzhou, Zhejiang Province, holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Tongji University and is a certified engineer. He began his career in August 2003 and has held positions in brand marketing, the General Manager’s office, corporate strategy, and human resources and organization. Zhang Quan, born in October 1975 in Jingjiang, Jiangsu Province, earned a Master of Engineering degree from Tongji University and is a senior engineer. He started working in August 1998 and previously served as Senior Director of Human Resources at SAIC Volkswagen before moving into procurement, most recently serving as head of SAIC Volkswagen’s Procurement Department. The day before these appointments, SAIC Motor announced other significant personnel changes: Xu Ping, former General Manager of Huayu Automotive, replaced Lu Xiao as General Manager of SAIC-GM; and Lu Xiao, former General Manager of SAIC-GM, succeeded Wang Jun as General Manager of SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle Division.
