Great Wall Motor's Wey V8X, a flagship five-seater SUV, opened for pre-orders on July 29. Positioned as the smart-driving flagship model on the Guanyuan S platform, the first batch of display and test-drive vehicles has already arrived at dealerships, though pricing has not yet been announced. The vehicle measures 5,125 mm in length, 2,025 mm in width, and 1,821 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,050 mm. It offers a cabin usable area of 5.9 square meters and a trunk capacity of 864 liters, expandable to 2,225 liters when the second-row seats are folded down. The V8X features nine acoustic laminated glass panels, triple-layer sealed doors with a circumferential sealing structure, and 104 aerodynamic active airflow management elements. Inside the cabin, the V8X is equipped with the native AI cockpit assistant "Xiao Wei," powered by a dual-VLA architecture. It supports voice-controlled operations including vehicle start-up, lane changes, speed adjustment, U-turns, and parking. The system also enables point-to-point full-scenario NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) assisted driving and campus roaming capabilities. Under the hood, the V8X adopts the Super Hi4 hybrid powertrain architecture, combining a 2.0T engine with a dedicated four-speed hybrid transmission. The system delivers a maximum output of 500 kW and peak torque of 930 N·m, achieving a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 4.5 seconds in fully charged condition and 4.7 seconds in low-battery (fuel-only) mode. The vehicle supports 800V+6C ultra-fast charging technology, adding 170 km of range with just five minutes of charging. It is equipped with a 66.6 kWh battery pack, offering pure-electric ranges of 312 km under WLTC and 402 km under CLTC standards, with a combined CLTC range of up to 1,659 km.
