National Passenger Vehicle Retail and Wholesale Sales Down 18% YoY from July 1–26

From July 1 to 26, retail sales of passenger vehicles nationwide totaled 1.123 million units, down 18% year-over-year and down 13% compared to the same period in June. Cumulative retail sales for the first seven months of this year reached 9.824 million units, a 20% decline year-over-year. During the same period, wholesale sales by passenger vehicle manufacturers nationwide amounted to 1.172 million units, down 18% year-over-year and down 33% compared to the same period in June. Cumulative wholesale volume for the first seven months of the year totaled 13.718 million units, down 7% year-over-year.
