Xiaomi held a technology launch event at 7 p.m. on July 30, lasting approximately two hours, focusing on the "Xiaomi Kunlun Technology Architecture," which includes the Xiaomi Kunlun Platform, Xiaomi Kunlun Super Range Extender, and Xiaomi Kunlun All-Domain Safety. Following the event, teams from Hubei, Guangdong, Sichuan, and Fujian showcased live vehicles and highlighted product features in livestream sessions. At the launch, Xiaomi unveiled two intelligent, spacious SUVs with flexible configurations: the seven-seat flagship extended-range SUV, Xiaomi Pengcheng N90 Max, and the five-seat all-wheel-drive extended-range SUV, Xiaomi Pengcheng N70 Max. Both models are equipped with Xiaomi’s new Kunlun range extender, compatible with 92#, 95#, and 98# gasoline. The range extender and triple-electric (battery, motor, and power electronics) systems come with an 8-year or 160,000-kilometer warranty. Under WLTC conditions, their lowest fuel consumption in low-battery mode is 5.7 L/100 km. After the initial service, maintenance is required every three years or after the range extender has operated for 30,000 kilometers. Inside the cabin, both vehicles feature a 16.1-inch 3K central touchscreen, an 8.88-inch instrument cluster, a 21.4-inch rear entertainment screen, and support for a 20-inch HUD. The front passenger seatback can be expanded with a detachable Pad, enabling a mobile rear control screen. Powered by the Snapdragon® 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform, the vehicles support the Super XiaoAI voice assistant and the CarIoT ecosystem. Super XiaoAI comes standard across all trims, enabling dynamic in-cabin voice zones and “walk-and-talk” voice control outside the vehicle. For intelligent driving assistance, all models come standard with Xiaomi HAD and the Xiaomi XLA cognitive large model. Hardware includes NVIDIA Thor chips delivering 700 TOPS of computing power, a roof-mounted LiDAR, 4D millimeter-wave radar, 11 high-definition cameras, and 12 ultrasonic sensors. The N90 Max additionally features a rear-facing solid-state LiDAR.
