On July 30, 2025, BYD launched the seventh OTA update for the Fangchengbao Bao 3, delivering a comprehensive UI overhaul for the DiLink intelligent cockpit and optimizing multiple vehicle functions. This update introduces Amap navigation; adds an omnidirectional dashcam feature supporting five-angle preview, recording, and playback; and enhances Sentry Mode with a new high-risk video upload function. Users can now view videos from the past seven days via the BYD app and conveniently export footage to local storage or a USB drive. Additionally, both the dashcam and Sentry Mode now support Wi-Fi Quick Transfer, enabling seamless video sharing to mobile devices. The customizable steering wheel buttons now include a parking assistance shortcut. The driver assistance system gains a new event reporting feature and adds Emergency Stop Assist functionality specifically for expressway and highway driving scenarios. In terms of smartphone integration, HUAWEI HiCar now supports Mirror Mode, and ICCOA Carlink adds compatibility with Samsung smartphones. Furthermore, exclusive to drone-equipped variants, the update introduces an active drone alert feature and supports multi-scenario voice control. The Fangchengbao Bao 3 was launched on April 16, 2025, in two variants: the standard version offers a CLTC range of 501 km and starts at RMB 133,800, while the rear-wheel-drive Ultra version starts at RMB 149,800. The standard model measures 4,605 mm (L) × 1,900 mm (W) × 1,720 mm (H), whereas the "Lingyuan Smart Drone Edition" stands taller at 1,930 mm in height—both share a wheelbase of 2,745 mm. An optional dual-motor all-wheel-drive system is available, featuring a front asynchronous AC motor (peak power: 110 kW) and a rear permanent magnet synchronous motor (peak power: 200 kW), enabling a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 4.9 seconds.
