Winning Technology recently completed the acquisition of Aurotek (Shanghai) Automation Engineering Co., Ltd. This transaction enables Winning Technology to complement its existing strengths in front- and mid-segment lithium battery equipment with core capabilities in the back-end module and PACK segments, thereby achieving a closed-loop, full-process solution covering electrode manufacturing (front-end), cell assembly (mid-end), and module & PACK integration (back-end). Since 2015, Winning Technology has pioneered and delivered China’s first complete lithium battery production line, becoming the earliest domestic company to achieve full-line delivery for lithium battery manufacturing. Since then, the company has focused on developing standalone equipment, achieving industry-leading precision, stability, and process maturity in front- and mid-segment equipment—from coating to cell assembly. Founded in 2011, Aurotek specializes in end-to-end “one-stop” smart factory solutions, offering automated assembly and inspection equipment as well as complete line planning. The company holds distinct technological advantages in flexible and intelligent integration for lithium battery module and PACK back-end processes and possesses mature capabilities in production line implementation and digital delivery. Through this acquisition, Winning Technology integrates its high-precision front- and mid-segment equipment with Aurotek’s back-end integration technologies to deliver a fully autonomous, end-to-end production line solution covering the entire lithium battery manufacturing process. The company stated that it will simultaneously advance its strategy of leading in standalone equipment while expanding its full-line offerings, deepen technological iteration across the entire value chain, and accelerate integration with Aurotek in technology, teams, and business operations through the Shanghai Electric industrial platform. Winning Technology aims to launch benchmark full-line projects by 2026—its 20th anniversary—and provide the global new energy industry with an integrated, end-to-end intelligent lithium battery factory solution.
