The 2026 Buick GL8 Lushang from SAIC-GM will launch in August. Positioned as a family-oriented new energy MPV, the vehicle features upgrades in cabin design, seating, and family-focused amenities, alongside the introduction of an updated "Zhenlong" plug-in hybrid system. The current 2025 GL8 Lushang measures 5,219 mm in length, 1,878 mm in width, and 1,807 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,088 mm. The new model is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system comprising a 1.5T hybrid engine, a plug-in hybrid battery compliant with Ultium standards, and a fully in-house developed P1+P3 hybrid electric drive unit. This setup delivers a maximum combined range of 1,420 km and a pure electric range of 142 km. Inside the cabin, a 12-inch dual-screen setup is complemented by a 15.6-inch rear entertainment display. The vehicle offers multiple USB-A and USB-C charging ports, an APO port, a 230V power outlet, and wireless smartphone charging for front passengers. Both first- and second-row seats feature heating and ventilation functions. The second row adopts independent aircraft-style seats, each equipped with dedicated headrests, power-adjustable leg rests, fold-out tray tables, “boss buttons” for seat control, and a 15.6-inch ceiling-mounted screen.
