Dutch automaker The Landrovers has unveiled the Panterra, an electric restomod vehicle based on the classic Land Rover Defender, after seven years of development. The Panterra features a 200 kWh battery pack, delivering a WLTP-rated range of 604 kilometers and a curb weight of approximately 2.9 metric tons. Powered by four in-wheel motors, the vehicle produces a combined output of 447 kW, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds. It also incorporates real-time torque vectoring to enhance off-road control. The Panterra achieves a balanced 50:50 front-to-rear weight distribution and rides on a newly designed subframe with fully independent suspension at both axles, offering a choice between coil springs or air springs. A bespoke electric power steering system is also fitted. Inside, the cabin emphasizes luxury, featuring machined aluminum components, premium leather, and finely crafted trim elements. Pricing for the Panterra starts at approximately $570,000.
