Tesla began rolling out the 2026.14.13 vehicle software update in batches on July 31, 2024, to Model 3, Model Y, Model S, and Model X vehicles. This update introduces several new features and optimizations, along with fixes for multiple security vulnerabilities. On the security front, the update addresses vulnerabilities including out-of-bounds memory access, CAN bus buffer overflow, and symlink race conditions. It also adds the “Doubao Large Language Model” intelligent voice assistant, which supports natural, conversational interactions and real-time information queries. Users can choose from various voice tones and personalized assistant personas such as “Know-It-All,” “Music Lover,” and “Storyteller.” Access to this feature requires an active Premium Connectivity subscription. A new “Pet Mode” allows users to set up and name their pets via Controls > Display > Customize Pet Mode, maintaining a comfortable cabin environment when the vehicle is unattended. The original “Trips” feature has been moved to the Energy app, where users can create and manage multiple trips and track energy consumption under different driving conditions. A quick left swipe on the media card provides fast access to the trip card. The Sketchpad feature has been upgraded with support for stickers and emojis. Saved sketches can now be viewed and shared in the Tesla mobile app (version 4.55.6 or higher). Apple Music controls have also been improved: swiping right on a song adds it to the playback queue, while a long press allows management of “My Favorites.” The system now includes an automatic software update option. When enabled, the vehicle will automatically install downloaded updates overnight while parked and not in use. This setting can be found at Controls > Software > Install Updates Automatically. Additionally, the updated Sentry Mode viewer now lets users permanently save any short clip from recent videos directly to the vehicle’s local storage—these clips are not uploaded to Tesla servers. Furthermore, the map package has been updated to version CN-2026.14-16069. Availability of certain features may vary depending on vehicle model or configuration; users should refer to the actual content received in their over-the-air update.
