According to the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), effective at 24:00 on July 31, domestic gasoline and diesel prices (standard grades) will increase by RMB 685 and RMB 655 per tonne, respectively. This adjustment follows significant volatility in international crude oil prices since July 17, with prices recently surging again, resulting in an average oil price over the past 10 working days—prior to this adjustment—that exceeded the average level recorded during the corresponding period before the previous adjustment. Nationwide, on average, the retail price of Grade 92 gasoline will rise by RMB 0.54 per liter, Grade 95 gasoline by RMB 0.57 per liter, and Grade 0 diesel by RMB 0.56 per liter. For a typical passenger car with a 50-liter fuel tank, filling up a full tank of Grade 92 gasoline will cost approximately RMB 27 more than before.
