In a conversation with Luo Yonghao, Zhu Jiangming, Chairman of Leapmotor, stated that Leapmotor will not deploy online "water armies," attack other brands, or engage in negative competitive practices within the industry. He emphasized that companies should focus on delivering quality products rather than getting trapped in a vicious cycle of mutual attacks. Zhu also outlined Leapmotor's development goal for the next decade: to become a world-class automaker with annual sales of 4 million vehicles. He noted that the company needs to scale up from its current annual sales volume of approximately 600,000 units to 4 million within ten years—and if this target is not achieved within that timeframe, he will retire. Previously, at Leapmotor’s 10th-anniversary event in December 2023, Zhu stated that the company had just crossed the breakeven point and remained in its early growth stage, stressing the urgency to seize the limited window of opportunity in the new energy vehicle (NEV) market and accelerate progress. In March this year, he reiterated that there are too many domestic automakers and the market cannot accommodate all players, underscoring that Leapmotor must go all-out to succeed in the coming decade. According to data, Leapmotor sold over 590,000 vehicles in 2025 and has set an annual sales target of 1 million units for 2026, having already delivered 356,000 vehicles in the first half of the year.
