BYD Sealion 08 Interior Debuts with Six-Seater Variant, Set for August Launch

On July 31, BYD officially unveiled the interior of the Sealion 08, the flagship SUV under its Ocean Network, with the showcased model featuring a six-seat configuration. The front row is equipped with a floating central touchscreen, while the second row includes an overhead entertainment screen and may feature zero-gravity seats to enhance comfort. The vehicle made its global debut at the Beijing Auto Show in April this year, measuring 5,115 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,800 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,030 mm. Powertrain options include both all-electric and plug-in hybrid variants. The BEV versions comprise a single-motor low-output (320 kW), a single-motor high-output (370 kW), and a dual-motor setup (215 kW front / 370 kW rear). The PHEV variant pairs a 1.5T engine (115 kW) with dual motors—one on each axle—each delivering 200 kW. The all-electric models offer two range options: 800 km and 900 km, and are available in both five- and six-seat layouts. Scheduled for market launch in August, the Sealion 08 will be equipped with BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery, flash charging technology, the Yunniu-A intelligent air suspension system, rear-wheel steering, and the "God’s Eye" 5.0 intelligent driving assistance system.
