Deepal Auto Global Sales Rise 7.52% YoY in July; New S05 Launches August 6

Deepal Auto reported a 7.52% year-over-year increase in global sales for July, with overseas sales rising 22.87% month-over-month. The brand’s cumulative global deliveries have surpassed 910,000 units. From January to July 2024, Deepal Auto achieved global sales of 193,369 vehicles, up 13.48% year-over-year, including 44,508 units sold overseas—a surge of 87.48% compared to the same period last year. The new Deepal S05 will officially launch on August 6 and is now open for pre-orders at a price range of RMB 119,900 to RMB 151,900. The vehicle continues the brand’s “Symbiotic Aesthetics” design philosophy, featuring refined front lighting details, chrome accents on the body cladding, semi-recessed door handles on the sides, new 18-inch alloy wheels, and a more dynamic rear diffuser design. In terms of intelligent features, the S05 adds a LiDAR sensor and supports an end-to-end algorithm, enabling full-scenario intelligent driving assistance—including highway and urban navigation—as well as automated parking functions. Inside, the cabin ditches the previous full-width air vent, instead adding physical door handles and enhanced audio system trim. It also features a 256-color ambient lighting system that wraps around the interior. The cockpit includes a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a column-mounted gear shifter, and a floating 15.6-inch 2.5K-resolution central touchscreen. Front seats offer heating, ventilation, and massage functions, with an optional “Queen’s Seat” available for the front passenger. Storage capacity has been upgraded to 37 compartments, including a newly added glovebox on the passenger side. The trunk offers 492 liters of space (with a dual-level layout), complemented by a 159-liter front trunk. Powering the newly unveiled all-electric variant is a rear-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor (model XTDM67), delivering a maximum output of 272 horsepower and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.28 seconds. It comes in two CLTC-rated range options: 520 km and 620 km, and supports fast charging from 30% to 80% state of charge in just 15 minutes.
