From August 1 to October 8, 2026, Xi’an will implement a new round of automobile consumption subsidies. Individual consumers purchasing new energy passenger vehicles listed in the “Catalogue of New Energy Vehicle Models Eligible for Exemption from Vehicle Purchase Tax” will receive a subsidy equivalent to 2% of the vehicle’s invoice price, capped at RMB 10,000. Additionally, for newly launched new energy vehicle models released in 2026: - If the invoice price is between RMB 90,000 (inclusive) and RMB 150,000, an extra subsidy of RMB 2,000 will be granted; - If the invoice price is RMB 150,000 (inclusive) or higher, an extra subsidy of RMB 3,000 will be granted. At the same time, individual consumers purchasing used passenger vehicles will receive a subsidy of 1.5% of the invoice price, capped at RMB 4,000. Eligibility for the new energy vehicle purchase subsidy is determined by either the vehicle invoice date or the order confirmation date: orders confirmed and uploaded during the policy period (August 1 to October 8, 2026), with invoices issued no later than November 30, 2026, will qualify for the subsidy. Subsidies will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted. This subsidy cannot be combined with the national vehicle trade-in subsidy program.
