Lamborghini Design Director Mitja Borkert stated that the brand will not abandon its signature flip-up start button. This design feature is retained in all three models showcased at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed (July 9–12), including the Urus SE Performante. The flip-up start button first appeared on the limited-edition Reventón supercar launched in 2007 and became widely recognized with the production launch of the flagship Aventador in 2011, subsequently evolving into a traditional interior element for Lamborghini’s V12 models. Borkert noted that although faster ignition methods exist, this design delivers an emotional experience that aligns perfectly with the brand’s philosophy.
