BYD’s Fangcheng Bao brand launched a nationwide roadshow for its new sedan series, “Fangcheng S,” on August 1, kicking off at Yu Garden in Shanghai. The event will run through August 9. Positioned as “versatile, multi-form personalized sedans for all scenarios,” the series comprises three models: the Fangcheng S, the Fangcheng SL three-box sedan, and the Fangcheng S GT shooting brake. The lineup was first unveiled at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition in April 2026 and is scheduled to officially launch in the third quarter of 2026. In June this year, the Fangcheng S and Fangcheng S GT were listed in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s (MIIT) 408th batch of the “Announcement of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products.” According to the disclosed data, the Fangcheng S measures 5,060 mm in length, 1,967 mm in width, and either 1,483 mm or 1,458 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,960 mm. Its curb weight is 2,140 kg, gross vehicle weight is 2,580 kg, and top speed reaches 240 km/h. The vehicle offers multiple motor configurations: single-motor variants deliver peak outputs of either 245 kW or 300 kW, while the dual-motor version combines 190 kW and 300 kW motors. All models are equipped with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries.
