On August 1, BYD’s Fangcheng Bao brand launched a nationwide roadshow for its "Fangcheng S" sedan series at Yu Garden in Shanghai, running through August 9. The series comprises three models: the Fangcheng S, the Fangcheng SL three-box sedan, and the Fangcheng SGT shooting brake. Positioned as “all-scenario, multi-form, personalized sedans,” these vehicles are scheduled to launch in Q3 2026. The vehicles measure 5,060 mm in length, 1,967 mm in width, and either 1,483 mm or 1,458 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,960 mm. They have a curb weight of 2,140 kg and a gross vehicle weight of 2,580 kg, with a top speed of 240 km/h. Three powertrain variants are offered: single-motor versions with peak outputs of either 245 kW or 300 kW, and a dual-motor configuration (190 kW front motor + 300 kW rear motor). All variants are equipped with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries. In June this year, the Fangcheng S and Fangcheng SGT were included in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s (MIIT) 408th batch of the “Announcement on Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products,” marking the official debut of Fangcheng Bao’s first-ever sedan.
