Changan Qiyuan A06 LiDAR Owners Rally Over Undelivered Urban NOA Feature

Owners of the 2026 Changan Qiyuan A06 630 Laser Ultra+ model have recently filed a collective complaint, alleging that the manufacturer failed to fulfill its promise regarding the urban NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) feature made at the time of purchase. This variant costs over RMB 10,000 more than the version without a LiDAR sensor. During sales, the company promoted the LiDAR and other hardware as essential components for enabling advanced intelligent driving capabilities and explicitly promised that the urban NOA function would be delivered via future OTA updates. However, nearly a year after vehicle delivery, the urban NOA feature has still not been rolled out, and the manufacturer has yet to provide a clear scope of functionality or a definitive timeline for its release. Owners argue that the company used the unrealized urban NOA feature as a key selling point to induce consumers to pay a premium, resulting in a significant discrepancy between the actual delivered features and the original marketing claims—potentially infringing upon consumers’ rights to information and fair trade. The owners have submitted formal demands requesting that the manufacturer: 1) Provide a written statement confirming whether it will still deliver the urban NOA feature; 2) Clearly define the feature’s specifications and release schedule; 3) If the feature cannot be delivered as promised or is significantly downgraded, provide a written explanation and offer compensation for the premium paid for the LiDAR configuration—either through cash refunds or equivalent benefits. As of now, Changan Qiyuan has not issued any public response to these complaints.
