Xiaomi Pengcheng N90 Max Unveiled: A Family SUV with Extra-Long Sliding Rails, Rotating Seats, and a Sliding Center Console

On August 1, the Xiaomi Pengcheng N90 Max family SUV drew attention for its innovative features, including a sliding rail system, rotating seats, and a movable center island. The vehicle is equipped with six extra-long sliding rails, with the seat rails reaching up to 1,938 mm in length. Both the second and third rows of seats offer a sliding range of up to 900 mm. The rails are made of 7-series reinforced aluminum alloy, offering a 9% increase in tensile strength. They achieve a locking strength of 54,000 N and a peel strength of 57,000 N, and have passed 15,000 cycles of high-low temperature sliding tests without any loosening. The front driver and passenger seats support 180° electric rotation and feature dedicated rotation-locking mechanisms. After undergoing 5,500 cycles of high-low temperature durability testing, the rotation function remains fully operational with no signs of loosening. This rotation feature is only enabled when the vehicle is in Park (P) mode. Additionally, the vehicle features a movable center island mounted on an ultra-long 1,260 mm sliding rail, integrating a 9L independent compressor refrigerator and a dual-cup holder table measuring 600 × 420 mm. Thanks to its boxy interior layout and flat floor, the cabin can be flexibly configured into various usage scenarios, such as a face-to-face lounge, a personal workspace, or a four-passenger first-class suite.
