On August 2, Lei Jun, founder, chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi, shared a video showcasing the crash test footage of Xiaomi's new Pengcheng series vehicles and disclosed specific test parameters. The video revealed that the Pengcheng models exceeded current industry standards in multiple crash tests: - Frontal collision test speed was 64 km/h, surpassing the C-NCAP standard of 56 km/h; - 25% small overlap frontal collision test speed reached 72 km/h, exceeding the China Insurance Automotive Safety Index (C-IASI) requirement of 64 km/h; - Side impact test speed was 70 km/h, higher than the C-NCAP standard of 60 km/h; - Rear-end collision test speed reached 92 km/h, significantly exceeding the new national standard requirement of 50 km/h.
