On August 7, NIO launched its 4,000th battery swap station nationwide in Quanzhou, Fujian Province—the company’s first fifth-generation swap station. This new generation station supports battery swapping for vehicles from multiple brands, including NIO, Onvo, and Firefly, achieving cross-brand compatibility. Through optimized mechanical design, the fifth-generation station increases battery inventory, enhances energy replenishment efficiency, and improves site utilization. To date, NIO has built a total of 9,149 charging and swapping stations across China, comprising 3,994 swap stations and 5,155 charging stations, equipped with 29,781 charging piles. The company has completed over 110 million battery swaps cumulatively. In terms of market performance, NIO’s main brand achieved an average transaction price of RMB 434,600 in July, maintaining steady sales driven by premium models such as the ES8 and ES9.
