Leapmotor A05 Launches August 10 – Blind Reservation for ¥99 Earns 5,000 Points

Leapmotor has announced that its new all-electric model, the A05, will officially launch on August 10. Blind pre-orders are now open, with a deposit of RMB 99 granting buyers 5,000 exclusive energy points. The A05 measures 4,200 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, and 1,560 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,605 mm. Its exterior features a floating roof, wide rear end, and “surfboard”-inspired diagonal side skirts. Inside, the cabin is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip, an 8.88-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.6-inch central touchscreen, and a 12-speaker audio system supporting mic-free karaoke functionality. The interior also offers 2.6 m² of soft-touch surfaces, seven-layer seat construction, and 256-color ambient lighting. The vehicle includes 33 storage compartments, with a trunk capacity of 474 liters that expands to 1,308 liters when the rear seats are folded down. Powertrain options include two electric motors—70 kW and 90 kW—paired with either a 39.8 kWh or 53 kWh battery pack, delivering CLTC-rated ranges of 405 km and 510 km, respectively.
