On August 5, Li Xiaoshuang, Vice President of Xiaomi Auto, publicly released a high-speed blowout test video of the Xiaomi Pengcheng N90 Max. The test, conducted with the participation of Xiaomi Auto CTO Hu Zhengnan, involved simultaneously blowing out two tires while the vehicle was traveling at 160 km/h and fully loaded with seven passengers (totaling 561 kg). Li Xiaoshuang emphasized that the video was neither AI-generated nor created with CGI—it was shot in a single continuous take with no edits. In response to online questions about why only a single-tire blowout wasn’t tested, Li explained that a dual-tire blowout presents a greater challenge, which is why Xiaomi opted for the more demanding dual-tire scenario. Earlier, on the evening of July 30, during Xiaomi’s Pengcheng Technology Launch Event, both the N90 Max and N70 Max extended-range SUVs were unveiled together, with their pre-sale prices officially announced.
