Recently, Volkswagen Automatic Transmission (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. and ZenseDrive Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation memorandum on power modules in Tianjin. Mirco Woellenstein, Technical General Manager, and Julian Kierst, Commercial General Manager of Volkswagen Transmission Tianjin, signed the agreement on behalf of their company, together with Shen Jie, Chairman and General Manager, and Xia Yuxin, Head of the Power Module Business Unit, representing ZenseDrive. Liu Xiaoyu, Senior Director of Component Business at Volkswagen (China) Investment Co., Ltd., also attended the signing ceremony. Under the agreement, both parties will engage in comprehensive R&D and industrialization collaboration in silicon carbide (SiC) power semiconductor modules for new energy vehicles. Founded in 2017, ZenseDrive specializes in in-house developed power semiconductor modules, motor controllers, and power bricks. In recent years, Volkswagen Transmission Tianjin has expanded its portfolio to include multiple electric drive motor products. Going forward, the two companies will jointly advance innovation in SiC modules, power bricks, and advanced electric drive solutions.
