The Cyberspace Affairs Commission of Shanghai Municipal Committee, jointly with the Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, the Municipal Commission of Commerce, the Municipal Administration for Market Regulation, and the Cybersecurity Detachment of the Municipal Public Security Bureau, has guided the Shanghai Automobile Dealers Association and the Shanghai Automotive Parts Industry Association in formulating the "Shanghai Automotive Industry Compliance Covenant on Marketing Practices and Online Information Dissemination." The covenant sets forth self-regulatory requirements concerning pricing practices, online information dissemination, and sales and service conduct, and applies to automakers, automobile dealers, and other relevant market entities.
