Infineon Technologies AG and MediaTek have announced a collaboration, with MediaTek completing certification of Infineon’s 512 Mb Quad SPI NOR Flash memory on its Dimensity Automotive Cockpit Platform C-X1. This memory is used to store firmware and boot code, supporting SoC-level AI features such as voice assistants, driver monitoring, in-cabin video generation, environmental sensing, and personalized audio/video recommendations. The product supports secure boot, secure firmware updates, and critical redundancy capabilities. Built with MirrorBit technology, it offers a robust interface, compatibility with mainstream automotive SoCs, and AEC-Q100 qualification, enabling operation in temperatures up to +125°C. As of the end of September 2025, Infineon employed approximately 57,000 people worldwide, with fiscal year 2025 revenue of around €14.7 billion. The company has more than 3,000 employees in China.
