Chinese Smart Manufacturing Firms Accelerate Global Expansion

Recent research shows that multiple Chinese smart manufacturing companies are accelerating their global expansion. Estun Automation operates seven manufacturing bases worldwide, covering major industrial regions in Europe and Asia, and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in March 2024, raising funds to expand its global production capacity. By 2025, Estun employed over 3,300 people globally, with more than 150,000 industrial robots installed worldwide. NARI Group, under China Electric Power Research Institute (CEPRI), has established overseas offices in 21 countries; in the first half of 2026, its international business contracts grew by double digits, including executing a smart metering project in Peru and participating in the Belo Monte Phase II project in Brazil. TBEA Hengyang Transformer Co., Ltd. offers products and services in over 70 countries and regions. Great Wall Motor has expanded its overseas sales network to over 1,400 outlets, with cumulative sales exceeding 2 million vehicles globally—of which the Great Wall Poer model alone has surpassed 700,000 units—and is rapidly advancing toward new energy vehicle development.
