On August 7, Zhu Jiangming, founder of Leapmotor Technology, officially delivered the Leapmotor D99 to Zeng Yuqun, Chairman of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL). The Leapmotor D99, Leapmotor's first MPV model, commenced deliveries on July 20 with a starting price of RMB 249,800. The vehicle is equipped with CATL’s 115 kWh super hybrid battery cells. Additionally, Leapmotor uses CATL batteries across its high-end models and top-trim variants of several mid- and low-end models.
