Fangchengbao T9 Files with MIIT: BYD’s Plug-in Hybrid 6-Seater Full-Size SUV, 5,270mm Long

According to the new product disclosure of the 410th batch of the "Announcement on Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products" issued by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the Fangchengbao T9 has completed its application filing. The vehicle is a plug-in hybrid multi-purpose passenger car produced by BYD Auto Co., Ltd., with dimensions of 5,270 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,850/1,880 mm in height, a wheelbase of 3,130 mm, a rated seating capacity of six occupants, a curb weight of 2,865/2,965 kg, a gross vehicle weight of 3,495 kg, and a maximum speed of 220 km/h. It supports external charging and is equipped with an Event Data Recorder (EDR) system, with an optional ETC onboard unit. In terms of powertrain, the vehicle is powered by a 1.5L engine (model BYD472ZQB) delivering a maximum net power of 110 kW. It features dual permanent magnet synchronous motors: the front motor (model TZ210XYD) has a rated power of 90 kW and a peak power of 200 kW, while the rear motor (model TZ200XSBN) offers a rated power of 70 kW and a peak power of 200 kW. The energy storage system uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells manufactured by Guangxi FinDreams Battery Co., Ltd., with battery pack assembly handled by Shenzhen BYD Auto Industry Co., Ltd. For equipment and configurations, the vehicle comes standard with a panoramic sunroof and offers multiple optional features, including: no roof rails (reducing vehicle height to 1,850 mm), body-color exterior package, silver exterior package, black exterior package, gray door handles, retractable electric tow hook with electrical connector, various wheel designs, brake calipers in different colors, and alternative badging options. Tire choices include 255/50R21, or a combination of 255/45R22 (front) and 275/45R22 (rear), corresponding to different track widths.
