According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's (MIIT) 410th batch of the "Announcement on Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products," BMW Brilliance Automotive Ltd. has filed an application for the BMW iX3 40L all-electric multi-purpose passenger vehicle. The vehicle measures 4,885 mm in length, 1,895 mm in width, and 1,634 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,005 mm. Its curb weight is 2,255 kg, gross vehicle weight is 2,695 kg, rated seating capacity is five passengers, and its maximum speed is 200 km/h. In terms of powertrain, the new model is equipped with two drive motors, designated HF1002N0 and HD1001N0, with peak outputs of 116 kW and 235 kW respectively. These motors are produced by ZF Electric Drives (Shenyang) Co., Ltd. and the BMW Group. The energy storage system uses ternary lithium-ion batteries; the individual cells are supplied by Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL), while the battery pack is assembled by BMW Brilliance. The vehicle comes with tires sized 255/40 R21 and features an anti-lock braking system (ABS). Optional equipment includes brake calipers, wheel rims, trim strips, a rear roof-mounted camera, and an onboard ETC device. It is standard-equipped with an Event Data Recorder (EDR). According to previous official information, the long-wheelbase version of the new-generation BMW iX3 will commence pre-sales at the Chengdu Auto Show in 2026 and begin deliveries in the fourth quarter of 2026. A nationwide roadshow will soon be launched.
