On July 27, Harmony Intelligent Mobility released the AITO summer OTA update, which is being rolled out to the entire M9 and M8 lineups, the M7 2026 model, as well as the new M7 Ultra, M7 Pro, M7 Max, M7 Plus, M6 Ultra, M6 Max+, new M5 Ultra, new M5, M5 ADAS Edition, and M5 Standard Edition. In addition to integrating Huawei’s Qiankun Smart Driving ADS 5, this update also introduces native support for Apple CarPlay. According to previously disclosed information, Huawei announced in September 2023 that the AITO M9 would support Apple CarPlay connectivity. Apple’s official website states that CarPlay supports navigation, phone calls, messaging, music playback, and allows users to customize their instrument cluster wallpaper.
